No Good Reason

I can think of no good reason
For the Love I feel today
As the sun sets slowly in the western sky.
For the changing of the season
     Has shown a different way
Than the memory of your presence by my side.

     Certainly no reason
     Can count the many ways
You touched upon the Love within my soul.
     Faith gives way to treason
     Doubled into doubt
Do you feel it's worth the effort to control?

My heart has grown an empty hollow hole
Given in the absence of your touch.
Rhyming reasons I saw within your soul
Commit to give a damn inasmuch.

I can think of no good reason
To give a good god damn
As the grief it grinds my Love into the ground.
The tie that binds the season
     Searches graveyards in demand
Where Hope and Trust are never to be found.
